About Christy’s Nursery & Where We Came From

Steve and Rachel Christy started Christy’s Nursery in the backyard of their Poplar Tent Road home in 1964. Mr. Christy started the business on two acres behind his house on July 10, 1964, the same day his daughter, Mari-Ann Allen was born. The business then grew to the point that by 1973, the Christy family purchased their current location at 2400 Concord Pkwy S Concord that was previously an old service station. Now, Christy’s Nursery has the sales on location on Concord Parkway that uses 10 acres, but utilize more than 400 acres in Cabarrus, Iredell, and Montgomery counties, among other places, for growing their high quality plants and trees for our customers.
